“Value-added logistics is a nice term for services that add value to a product,” explains Willem De Pesseroey. He is the brand new CEO of VM Logistics after the takeover last summer. VM Logistics is one of the few logistics companies with a focus on circular goods in Belgium and has a stable growth.

A large installation compresses plastic waste into bales of 450 kilos. Further along, rejected petrol tanks go into a shredder installation, where they are ground into small pieces of plastic. “I don’t like talking about waste,” says Willem De Pesseroey, who recently became head of VM Logistics, which is located in the Transportzone of Meer (Hoogstraten). “These are raw materials that we give added value.”
