After working for 20 years in the recyclable goods market, Bert van Meel decided in 2001 to establish VM Logistics in Rijkevorsel and then Sint-Lenaarts. He already had the foresight to start a company with a clear focus on recycling materials.
In the following years, the family business grew in size and investments were made towards a baler, shredder and grinding mill.
A new head office was realized in Meer-Hoogstraten in mid-2010, and the following years were characterized by further growth to multiple warehouses.
After Pieter Goevaers took over in 2016, VM Logistics grew into the leading player in the logistics of circular goods. The total surface area was expanded to 6 halls, covering 40,000 m2, all on the industrial site in Meer.
In 2022, a new chapter has begun for VM Logistics. The company was taken over by entrepreneur Willem De Pesseroey, who previously built an extensive and international career at a global logistics player in the plastics and petrochemical market. To date, the acquired knowledge and experience is applied to the further growth and expansion of VM Logistics, as the reference in the handling of circular goods, raw materials and commodities.
